A tale of two websites

I have a story for you. The names of the characters are unimportant. What is important is the outcome.

There are two business owners who both have their websites launched on the same day.

The first owner tells all of his current customers about his website. The second owner invests a little money into promoting his site online. He also has his website named in several local newspaper articles.

A year later, the first business owner's website averages two visitors a day and has made him no sales. The second business owner's website averages 500 visitors and 10 sales a day -- and its growing by 10% every month.

Is this a sad story or a happy story? It all depends if you were business owner #1 or business owner #2.

The fact is, this story happens over and over again. In some cases the contrasts are even harsher. One business owner abandons his or her web presence altogether while the other is raking in thousands of dollars of sales a day.

A good website deserves to be promoted.

You may have heard all the buzz about PPC marketing using Google Adwords or search engine optimization. This is just one piece of the internet advertising pie.

Each promotion method has different benefits. Casting a diverse net brings in more customers & gives you a higher Return-On-Investment.
